IPsec

Stream's IPsec is a set of protocols that are designed to enhance the data security and protection of VPNs (Virtual Private Networks) for customers.


Data Integrity

The encryption techniques utilised by IPsec ensure that data is protected while it traverses the network. This protects the integrity of the data and ensures that data cannot be modified or tampered with while it is in transit.

Authentication

Data authentication ensures that the data received by the application has been sent from a trustworthy source. This guarantees that received data has originated from the expected source and mitigates against the risk of malicious traffic being sent to the customer’s network.

Confidentiality

The encryption algorithms used by IPsec ensure that data is protected against being viewed or copied while it is transiting the network. This protects data privacy and guards against it being disclosed to an attacker.

DINA

Direct Inbound Network Access, or DINA, is a proprietary technology designed by Stream to provide a secure and convenient way for customers to establish a direct connection to their devices from any location on the globe.

DINA allows customers to associate any SIM on their account with a public IP address. This means that customers can access devices remotely via a web page, from any location in the world.

DINA's restricted access is inherently more secure, reliable and cost-effective than alternative services such as fixed public IP addressing.

Fault-Tolerant Design

DINA provides customers with a higher level of fault tolerance than fixed public IP addressing since users are assigned a public IP from one of Stream's multiple points of presence.
